Job SummaryFlex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we're calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Production Supervisorlocated on Flex North.
Reporting to the Industrial Operations Managerthe Production Supervisor role is responsible for for leading production operations in a highly technical manufacturing environment, ensuring the achievement of quality, cost, delivery, and efficiency targets. This role drives team performance, resolves operational challenges, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and coordinates resources to meet customer requirements while maintaining a safe and compliant workplace.
What a typical day looks like:
- Leads the production of several processes/lines in a highly technical environment and responsible for the lines success.
- Evaluates daily/regularly plant operating performance and advises on changes in operating conditions that will improve efficiencies and quality.
- Lead a team of individual professionals (e.g. engineers/officers) to meet quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness requirements.
- Troubleshoot and analyze operational problems and advise on their resolution. Guide regular discussions with operators to coach performance and improve operational understanding and capability.
- Solicits and evaluates ideas for plant improvements and collaborates with qualified engineers to develop project proposals.
- Provides technical and operational advice to project teams.
- May act as principal interface between the operation team and the maintenance function.
- Engage in training and coaching of junior operators.
- Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply in order to meet customer requirements.
- Initiate and participate in process development and cost improvement projects.
- Assist in department budget planning and management of department expenses.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing individuals on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in EMS/CM environments supporting high-mix, high-volume manufacturing.
- Experience with automated test equipment (ATE), ICT, Functional Test, AOI, and AXI platforms.
- Experience leading Test Engineering activities and supporting cross-functional manufacturing teams.
- Strong knowledge of test equipment, instrumentation, calibration processes, and test system integration.
- Experience developing, implementing, and supporting test hardware and software solutions for electronic products.
- Proven experience troubleshooting test failures and driving root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Experience improving test yields and implementing corrective and preventive actions in a production environment.
- Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes, SMT, and electronics assembly operations.
- Experience defining test methodologies, test plans, acceptance criteria, and validation processes.
- Experience creating and maintaining manufacturing and test process documentation.
- Hands-on experience with AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and AXI (Automated X-ray Inspection) systems, including programming, optimization, defect analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
- Experience supporting AOI/AXI implementation, validation, and integration into high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Customer teams.
- Intermedian English communication skills (written and verbal).
