To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and fuel our growth, we're looking for an Operations Engineering Intern to joining us this Summer at our Manchester, CT site.
As part of a highly innovative team, you'll gain hands on exposure to state of the art equipment, advanced medical and precision manufacturing technologies, and a cleanroom environment that reflects our commitment to quality and engineered excellence. You'll contribute directly to projects driven by our ongoing capital investments in automation, digital integration, and advanced engineered solutions — giving you real world experience with tools and technologies shaping the future of manufacturing.
What a typical day looks like:
- Integrate molding machine data via Linki2 into Node‑RED dashboards for real‑time SPC visualization and reporting.
- Integrate CNC milling and EDM machine data into Node‑RED for machine utilization analytics (spindle and burn‑time tracking).
- Job shadow experts across the operation, including Process and Tooling Technicians/Engineers, Machinists, and Operational Leadership.
- Participate in technical training on Node‑RED, hardware integration, and smart‑factory workflows.
- Engage in self‑learning, applied problem‑solving, and collaborative innovation.
- Join team meetings and support project work that drives continuous improvement and engineered solutions.

Student qualities we're seeking for this internship assignment:
- Undergraduate currently enrolled in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Enthusiastic about working in a modern manufacturing environment
- General AI/ML understanding
- Familiarity with programming fundamentals
- Ability to learn Node‑RED and Industrial IoT integration concepts
- Highly collaborative, creative, and strong communicator
- Prior internship experience is a plus
Internship Program Requirements:
- Available to work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
- Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
- 3.0 minimum GPA
