Job Summary

Purpose:

Responsible for SMT line support reporting to Engineering Manager.

Principle Accountabilities

  •     The successful candidate will be required to support high volume Surface Mount
  •     Assembly lines.
  • The successful candidate will be required to support New Product Introduction.
  • The successful candidate will be required to troubleshoot, fault finding and repair of manufacturing equipment.
  • The successful candidate will be required to attend meetings to give updates on equipment performance.
  • The successful candidate will be required to carry out Preventative Maintenance.
  • The successful candidate will be required to work shift patterns.
  • The successful candidate will be required to manage spare parts inventory.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tooling.
  • The successful candidate will be required to liaise with Customer Focusing Team to monitor performance and quality.
  • The successful candidate will be required to set-up new equipment and production lines.
  • The successful candidate will be required to develop and implement Best practices.
  • The successful candidate will be required to become Technical leads and interact with equipment manufacturers.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Suitable Engineering qualification or apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Eng or Instrumentation.
  • Suitable experience in supporting high Volume Manufacturing lines.
  • Suitable Manufacturing experience in troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Communication Proficiency
  • Highly organized, driven by achieving results both on a personal and team basis.
  • They will be a clear thinker, perceptive, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Office Skills: Phones, word, Excel, Power point etc.
