Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we're calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Logistics Analyst located in Milpitas CA.
Reporting to the Director, Materials and Logistics, the Logistics Analyst, this role will ensure strict adherence to international trade regulations by auditing customs documentation and collaborating directly with freight forwarders and customs brokers to prevent shipping
delays. Coordinate and perform a variety of tasks associated with import and export operations to support our global supply chain while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
Here is a glimpse of what you'll do:
- Coordinate directly with customs brokers to facilitate timely import entries and clear goods through ports of entry without delay.
- Review and verify import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, while validating HTS codes and customs valuation to ensure compliance with customs requirements.
- Audit customs entry summaries to confirm accurate duty, tax, tariff, and regulatory fee calculations (e.g., MPF/HMF).
- Maintain organized, audit-ready import files and records in accordance with government regulatory retention standards.
- Prepare export documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipper's letters of instruction, and ensure proper Schedule B and ECCN assignments for regulatory alignment.
- Submit and verify EEI filings through AES/ACE to maintain compliance with government regulations.
- Coordinate directly with freight forwarders and carriers to arrange international transport, secure bookings, and ensure seamless export clearances.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready export files and records in accordance with government regulatory retention standards.
- Familiar with import and export required documentation and filings, including Commercial Invoices, Bills of Lading, CBP 7501, EEI submissions via AES/ACE, and securing ITNs for export shipments.
- Strong attention to detail in cross-referencing multi-line commercial invoices with customs entries to ensure accurate valuation, quantity verification, and country of origin declarations.
- Ability to track inbound and outbound international shipments, audit freight invoices, and resolve operational issues directly with freight forwarders, ocean carriers, and customs brokers to minimize transit delays.
Here is some of what you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years of experience in materials or related field.
- 3 years of experience in international logistics, import/export operations, or trade compliance preferred.
- A background in manufacturing is desired.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
