Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a HR Compliance Manager. The HR Compliance Manager will be located in Guadalajara North. Reporting to Sr Director HR Compliance, the HR Compliance Manager will be responsible for leading the HR Organizations compliance with local labor laws and company policies and procedures through training, policies & procedures, audits, etc.
What a typical day looks like:
- Preparing, reviewing and revising labor and employment training to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
- Create training programs based on changes in legal requirements, per legal requirements for certain training, and due to trends within Flex and within the industry. May include; Litigation Avoidance Training, Union training, Sexual Harassment Training, HR Compliance Management System, etc.
- Conduct Risk Assessments and review of site processes; self audits, spot audits, and detailed site audit activities.
- Work with Site Management and HR to ensure the completion of identified areas of compliance risk are addresses, controls are in place, and activities to monitor on-going compliance occur.
- Oversee the country/region's investigations, ensure the investigations are completed thoroughly, the company investigation process has been followed, proper disciplinary decisions are made and are consistent and all required actions as a result of the investigation are completed.
- Legal interpretation of laws and regulations and apply legal requirements to the company's policies and procedures.
- Using legal skill and knowledge to advise HR and COES on various labor and employment matters based on state, provincial and federal regulations, escalate to internal or external counsel as needed.
- Assist legal in responding to labor agency claims and charges, mediate claims, recommend settlements, records requests, subpoenas, etc.
- Work with sites and staffing on recruitment strategies for compliance with country regulations for hiring of protected classes, individuals with disabilities, etc.
- Communication, training, and implementation of the HR Compliance Management system within country/region.
- Compliance vendor management.
- Assist with M&A activities within country/region.
- Assisting with EH&S (OSHA compliance), Trade Compliance in regards to employment issues (ITAR, etc.), Internal Audit, and CSER with audits and resolution of issues identified
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience and training in Human Resources related.
- Fluency in English.
- Knowledge of AP Style, strong writing and editing skills
- Familiarity with Zoom virtual meetings, intranet, powerpoint, email and project management platforms
- Strong communication skills, good project management skills.
- Solid Investigation skills and good analytical skills.
- Familiar with RBA requirements.
- Certain level of change management capacity.
- Certain level of cross culture management ability.
- Experience on audit and management experience (leading a team) is a plus.
- Self motivated, can work under pressure
