Job Summary

Summary:

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Payroll Assistant Manager located in Bukit Minyak, Penang.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Ensure correct and timely payroll payments for all the employees of Flex

  • Ensure correct and timely payroll payments and contributions from taxes

  • Establish and maintain work standards for all functional positions, identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions

  • Provide information to ensure compliance with the presentation of Annual Statements

  • Establish controls for revision and validation of payroll payments, calculation, quotas and taxes

  • Ensure compliance to legislative requirements

  • Participate in payroll system or related system updates

  • Maintain and provide guidance on treasury policies, procedures and internal controls

  • Provide reports required by the different areas for checking purposes or procedures to different governmental authorities

  • Can specialize in supervising other areas related to payroll

  • Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a skilled and motivated workforce

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent experience and training.

  • Typically requires 6 years of Payroll or related experience.

  • Ability to read, research, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. 

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and acknowledges to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to maintain anonymity, attention to details

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to be organized

  • Payroll software experience and regulatory compliance
