Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Director Process Engineering located in Guadalajara North, Campus.
Reporting to the General Manager. The Director of Processes is responsible for defining, standardizing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for PCBA and Box Build operations, ensuring operational excellence, quality, cost efficiency, and scalability. This role leads process strategy at a site or multi‑site level and works cross‑functionally with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management.
What a typical day looks like:
- Define and lead the manufacturing process strategy for PCBA and Box Build operations.
- Establish global process standards, best practices, and operational methodologies.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Oversee critical processes including SMT, THT, final assembly, product integration, testing, and packaging.
- Ensure proper implementation of DFM, DFA, and DFT in collaboration with Engineering.
- Lead process definition and validation during New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Ensure process readiness prior to production start.
- Monitor NPI KPIs such as yield, FPY, ramp performance, and defect rates.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure smooth transitions to mass production.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience
- Advanced English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong experience in PCBA and Box Build within an EMS or electronics manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in:
- Fluid dispensing using PVA & Micro machines
- Soldering robots and RTV dispensing
- New product quotations
- EDMs (Engineering Data Management / Electrical Discharge Machining)
- CAPEX process
- AutoCAD software
- Flexim software
