To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Business Excellence Engineer located in Milpitas, California US.
The “Business Excellence Engineer” would be responsible for all aspects of the company's engineering culture of excellence in the organization ; focusing on the waste removal activities using lean and six sigma approaches ,tools and guiding actions to a sustainable conclusion.
Driving operation for the continuous process development , utilizing tools to manage and create ,validate Engineering processes/standards based on standard work and Business processes.
What a typical day looks like:
- As an industrial engineer the person would drive lean and six sigma activities as defined in the GBE A3. He would enforce and deploying Flex Lean Enterprise Values across the entire organization.
- Eliminating waste and create value by reducing variation in the processes to achieve sustainable results throughout the organization and segment.
- Utilize Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) techniques, initiate process improvements, cycle time reductions, cost reductions and other activities aimed at reducing/eliminating non-value-added activities in the process.
- Implementing root cause failure analysis , and take advantage of Yokoten Best practices-based Kaizen projects on the accord timelines . Agile participate in the selection and executions of lean and six sigma projects
- Leading Industrial Engineering lean and six sigma training and accelerate the proliferation of Lean culture thought the organization by guiding and facilitating Continues Improvement Lean Deployment.
- Perform assessment of Continuous Improvement Maturity Tracker (CIMT) Operation/Supply chain/Office and drive initiatives to close gaps.
- To be a subject matter expert and comprehend and use Center point portal as depository to enable data research and cost saving effectiveness. Maintain and update various indicators on the lean gallery and other defined locations
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- Typically requires 5+ years of related experience.
- Industrial Engineering Bachelor Degree(or related field) is a must and an MBA is required.
- Demonstrates functional, technical skills as well as customer service attitude (external and internal).
- Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas Comprehends the strategic & tactical impact of the function across sites.
- Must be able to guide direct projects and business initiatives.
- Financial, research and statistical skills to resolve complex and conflicting goals.
- Demonstrate Green Certification of at least two discipline (Lean, Six Sigma or Industrial Engineering).
This position will be 50% Industrial Engineering R&R:
- Cycle Time Studies
- Yamazumi Charts
- Capacity Analysis
- Process layout
- Work Instructions Documentation
Continuous Improvement Engineer - 50% Statistical Analysis by Six Sigma GB and Lean manufacturing activities at engineering level:
- Supporting GR&R for process validation (ANOVA, Nested, Expanded and Attribute MSA).
- Design of Experiments to support line qualification
- Linear Regression Analysis
- Lean manufacturing deployment to reduce waste
