  • Job Description Summary Responsible for overseeing the Company's global income tax function, including income tax compliance, accounting for income taxes, tax planning, and tax examination defense. Work closely with the accounting and finance teams, external auditors, and regulatory authorities to ensure tax filings are accurate, timely, and in line with all applicable laws and regulations. Additionally, you will be responsible for helping identify, evaluate, recommend and implement tax planning strategies to maximize tax efficiency and optimize financial performance. This position will work very closely with our outside tax consultants PwC in performing duties.
  • Job Description Major Responsibilities
    • Manage and oversee the preparation and submission of federal, state, local tax and Canada income tax returns.
    • Ensure compliance with all income tax regulations and timely submission of required payments and tax filings.
    • Work with outside consulting firm to develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax efficiencies and minimize income tax liabilities.
    • Provide guidance on income tax implications of business decisions including mergers, acquisitions, and expansions.
    • Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes to income tax laws and regulations.
    • Coordinate and manage income tax audits, liaising with external auditors and tax authorities.
    • Develop maintain and improve internal controls related to income tax processes for both compliance and reporting.
    • Lead and mentor the income tax team, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
    • Collaborate with other departments, including finance and legal, on cross-functional tax-related issues.
    • Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations in accordance with ASC 740.


    Minimum Education or Certifications Required
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).


    Minimum Experience or Skills Required
    • Minimum of four years of experience in tax accounting, preferably within public accounting or corporate tax departments.
    • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local income tax laws and regulations.
    • Experience with income tax planning, strategy, and compliance.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in tax software and financial systems i.e. JD Edwards and OneSource.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills.


    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
    • Less 5% travel requirement
    • Located in the Greater Cincinnati, OH Area
