Role Summary/Purpose:
This position will be based in our India Technology Center, located in Bangalore, India. You would be part of the Retail team under Product engineering working with On-Prem and Cloud based applications. You would be in a critical role coordinating with external and internal stakeholders to understand and enhance an enterprise application. If you're passionate about providing new features to customers, deeply curious about finding solutions to new challenges and perfecting the product development of our visionary Epicor product suite, you could be the perfect fit for this role.
Job Requirements:
- Enhance the product with new features, processor and transactions support.
- Add support for new devices like pinpads, printers, cashdrawers, etc.
- Build tools to support and monitor the application.
- Maintain, refine, and troubleshoot challenges with existing software to make sure it's up to code.
- May work with cross functional teams and provide inputs for other payment products.
- Stay on track by following best practices and established processes for large, complex projects.
- Suggest improvements and enhancements to the product based on data and revenue foresights.
You will have ideally:
- Knowledge on Payments products and payments processing. Strong knowledge on different card profiles and card brands.
- Expertise in Perl, PHP, Python programming.
- Experience working with Payment applications, retail devices, POS.
- Experience with SDLC and agile process.
- Able to explore new tools, new methodologies to solve real-world problems.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- A quick learner and a team player with the ability to collaborate and influence across different teams in the organization.
- Collaborative team player with great communication.
- Well-organized with high attention to detail, and an obsession with quality.
- Initiative and willingness to learn.
Nice to have:
- Experience on VB6 would be an added advantage.
- Knowledge in Jenkins, GIT, Jira
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise product development.
- 3+ years of experience in Perl.
- Industry knowledge/experience
