The Pipeline Integrity Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the management and implementation of multiple integrity management programs, including the SCC Program, long seam threat management program, pressure cycle management programs, geohazard management programs, and over-all integrity risk management across all company pipelines.
- Review and approve HCA analysis across all Liquids pipeline assets.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of the written Integrity Management Programs, standards, and procedures for all pipeline assets.
- Ownership of pipeline integrity engineering standards.
- Lead Pipeline Integrity programs that cover pipeline threat identification, threat mitigation, integrity assessments, data analysis, ILI remediation, and documentation to ensure IMP compliance.
- Stay current with pipeline regulations, industry standards, integrity assessment methods, repair methods, and other applicable technologies.
- Evaluate and approve new ILI technologies and NDE technologies
- Conduct reviews of appropriate assessment method(s) for pipeline assets.
- Ensure appropriate engineering support is provided for integrity projects including welding calculations, material selections, determination of hydrostatic test pressures, MOP/MAOP calculations, evaluation of defects, and recommendation of appropriate repairs.
- Provide input on due diligence efforts and new construction projects and incorporate newly operated assets into the IMP.
- Ensure the Pipeline Integrity Engineering staff is appropriately trained to meet the Integrity Management Program requirements and to stay current with the latest industry guidance.
- Maintain budgets for Pipeline Integrity projects and report status to management as required.
Requirements
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in pipeline engineering, or a related field, is required.
- Technical understanding and practical working experience in Risk Assessment and Management, integrity assessment methods, and defect assessments and repair methods are required.
- Experience in pipeline integrity or pipeline maintenance activities are preferred.
- A Professional Engineering registration and/or NACE certification are preferred.
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing, are required.
- Working knowledge of the various Federal and State pipeline regulations, including Integrity Management regulations and industry standards, is required.
- Management experience or experience as a mentor to other Engineers is preferred.
