Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals. Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.
The Shipyard Foreman is responsible for overseeing the work on assets (barges/tugs) and assist the operational functions of the shipyard/dry dock facility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Adhering to Company Safety Manual, operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assigning daily work tasks to leadermen and ensuring completion of tasks within the shipyard/dry dock facility.
- Troubleshooting equipment failures and taking appropriate action.
- Familiarity with the operation of all equipment used at the shipyard/dry dock facility.
- Training and guiding employees to ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborating effectively with employees and contractors.
- Working safely, without putting themselves or others in danger.
- Communicating with subcontractors regarding task priorities and timeliness.
Requirements
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Valid TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential).
- Knowledge of shipyard/dry dock operations.
- At least 1 year of experience as a foreman or leaderman.
- Strong reading and writing abilities.
- Ability to work in confined or small spaces.
- Commitment to personal and job safety.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under potentially hazardous conditions.
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Dependability, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Confined Space Certification (preferred).
- Previous experience as a general laborer in the oil and gas industry (preferred).
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must satisfactorily pass background, physical, and drug screen.
