Description

The Turnaround & Non-Routine Maintenance Director's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Selection, development, training and mentoring of Managers and other direct reports.
  • Organization, alignment, and staffing of the Turnaround Maintenance Department to meet the goals and expectations of field operations and executive management.
  • Oversight and guidance of the origination, development, modification, and implementation of equipment reliability, programs, procedures, policies and manuals.
  • Oversight and guidance of the development, improvement, maintenance, and performance of agreements and contracts with outside equipment contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Creating, developing, and improving working relationship between outside contractors, equipment vendors, Field Operations, Project Management, Field Engineering and other internal departments.
  • Setting and achieving departmental goals that support and meet the expectations of executive management.
  • Developing, monitoring and achieving departmental expense and capital budgets.
  • Participation in industry associations as appropriate.


Requirements

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • Four year post secondary degree in engineering or an equipment related field is required.
  • Five or more years of leadership experience at the manager level or above in the energy or equipment industry is required.
  • Ten or more years of energy related experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills in the areas of communication, organization, influencing and conflict resolution are required.
  • Proven leadership skills in the operations, maintenance, or engineering of mechanical and electrical equipment is required.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence various individuals and groups across organizational lines in required.
  • Proven ability to effectively develop, manage, improve, and maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Proven organization skills and abilities is required.
  • Proven ability to evaluate issues, define requirements, and implement action plans to accomplish organizational goals is required.
  • Working knowledge of midstream energy industry facilities such as pipelines (gas, liquids, natural gas liquids), pump and compressor stations, gas and liquid measurement facilities, above and below ground storage, liquid terminals, rail loading/unloading facilities, marine loading/unloading facilities, gas processing facilities, or natural gas liquids fractionation is preferred.
  • Mobility to walk and access field assets is required.
  • Travel is required up to 10%.
