ENSCO Inc. seeks a highly motivated and skilled Junior Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team in Melbourn, Florida. The successful candidate will primarily support the Eastern Range (ER) Launch and Test Range Systems (LTRS) ISSE team located at Patrick Space Force Base (PSFB), Florida. 

The Launch and Test Range Systems are critical components of space launch operations, encompassing a complex network of technologies used for tracking, telemetry, command, and control. This role demands a strong understanding of the importance of timely and accurate data entries related to LTRS authority to operate (ATO) packages. 

The selected candidate must have a strong history of following established procedures and attention to detail to endure accuracy in reporting, tracking and mitigation of the LTRS cyber security configurations and or vulnerabilities. The ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment to ensure the security and integrity of these essential systems.

Responsibilities:

•    Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities for the ER LTRS Accreditation Boundaries.
•    Receive and populate ATO related artifacts in various formats and compile them into eMASS specific importable formats. 
•    Import and track test results, control validations and POA&Ms entries in eMASS 
•    Collaborate with the ER LTRS ISSE team and ER LTRS Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to ensure the security and integrity of information systems supporting launch and test range operations
•    Support comprehensive risk assessments, vulnerability analyses, and security audits to identify and mitigate potential threats
•    Assist in the Development, implementation, and maintenance of security plans, policies, and procedures in accordance with industry standards and government regulations
•    Stay abreast of emerging security threats and technologies, and proactively adapt security measures to address them
•    Participate in the development and delivery of security awareness training programs
•    Occasional travel to VSFB, as well as potential travel to Patrick Space Force Base (PSFB) and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS), Florida to provide on-site support and collaboration

 

Qualifications

•    Apply technical concepts relevant to the team's work
•    Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and best practices
•    Identify, assess and mitigate risks related to cybersecurity threats
•    Identify and solve complex cybersecurity problems
•    DoD 8570.01-IAT II  
•    Experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
 

Requirements

•    BA/BS degree OR equivalent work experience and minimum 2 years of specific experience in organizations that require strict adherence to compliance standards.
•    Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with team members, management, and customers
•    Knowledge of NIST and RMF Requirements
•    Analyze situations and develop a path to achieve success
•    Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet identified deadlines and goals
•    Make decisions quickly based on available information
•    Think strategically and grow business
•    Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M IAM I or IAT II certification (Within 6 months of hiring)
•    ABILITY TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A DOD SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE FOR WHICH, YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
