Physician – Breast Oncology Fellow

 

Full Time | Bergen County, NJ | 10 minutes from NYC

 

The Breast Oncology Fellowship offers a one‑year, advanced clinical training experience for physicians committed to specializing in breast oncology. Based in New Jersey, this role combines high‑volume clinical exposure, multidisciplinary collaboration, and opportunities for clinical research within a nationally recognized cancer program.

The ideal candidate is a motivated physician seeking to deepen expertise in breast cancer diagnostics, systemic therapies, surgical coordination, survivorship care, and emerging treatment modalities.

 

About the Opportunity

 

  • Join a collegial team of two fellowship-trained breast surgeons within a leading, NAPBC-accredited program.
  • Our NAPBC-accredited Breast Center delivers comprehensive, patient-centered care through an integrated team of breast imaging specialists, pathologists, radiation and medical oncologists, genetic counselors, and survivorship experts.
  • The Center is recognized for its personalized patient experience, rapid diagnostic pathways, and robust research and education programs.

 

What your day will look like

 

  • Provide comprehensive patient care across the breast cancer continuum, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow‑up
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards with medical oncology, surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, and genetics
  • Engage in supervised outpatient and inpatient clinical rotations
  • Contribute to ongoing clinical trials and research initiatives
  • Educate residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold institutional quality and safety standards

 

 Qualifications

 

  • MD (or DO) degree with completion of an accredited general surgery residency
  • Board‑eligible or board‑certified in surgery
  • Eligible for New Jersey medical licensure and hospital privileges at Englewood Health
  • Demonstrated interest in breast cancer research, women's health, or oncology subspecialization
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to compassionate, patient‑centered care

Englewood Health offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, comprehensive benefits package, and other incentive programs for our employees. The salary shown reflects the minimum compensation; actual compensation considers specialty, relevant experience and training.

Minimum compensation: $93,101.00 annually
