Job Summary:
Under general supervision and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the Medical Assistant (MA/MR) supports the delivery of high-quality patient care within the Vascular Surgery practice. This role assists with both clinical and administrative functions, including triaging patients, obtaining and documenting accurate personal, demographic, and insurance information, and verifying patient identification.
The MA/MR plays a critical role in patient flow by escorting patients from the waiting area to exam rooms, preparing patients for provider evaluations, and ensuring efficient use of physician time. Clinical responsibilities include assisting with wound care, performing preparatory clinical tasks, and supporting providers during patient visits and procedures.
Administrative responsibilities include answering phones, greeting patients, providing customer assistance, scheduling support, data entry, and maintaining accurate patient records within electronic health record and practice management systems.

Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.

Prior experience in a specialty practice, preferably vascular surgery and/or wound care preferred

Ability to triage patients, obtain vitals, and accurately document clinical information

Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows

Proficiency with EPIC

Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-based clinical environment

Spanish speaking is a plus
Education Requirements:
- High School Graduate or equivalent or 5 years of Medical Assistant/PCT experience
License/Certification/Registry:
- Current CPR Certification.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)/Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)/Patient Care Technician (PCT).

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
