Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for compiling, analyzing, monitoring and reporting the health system's financial data. The position will utilize financial analytics tools and data to support leadership in identifying opportunities across the health system.  The Financial Analyst will work closely with leaders on various projections, annual capital and operating budgets, and reconciliations.

Highlights:

  • Build New Analytics: Create budgets, forecasts and capital plans using Strata modules (Operating Budget, Capital Planning and Management Reporting). Develop Power BI dashboards that compare actual vs. budget, track cost per case and highlight performance trends across service lines.
  • Modernize Data Workflows: Engineer automated data pipelines from Epic's reporting databases (Cogito/Clarity/Caboodle) and Infor FSM into Strata and Power BI. Streamline the extraction, transformation and loading of data so that reports and dashboards are driven by clean, timely and reliable data.
  • Drive Business Decisions: Interpret statistical reports, P&L statements and budget data, providing actionable insights to leadership; automate manual processes and drive efficiency across budgeting, reporting and cost management workflows.
  • Collaborate & Communicate: Work with colleagues from finance, IT, clinical operations and supply chain; translate technical concepts into plain language, and support training and adoption of new tools.

 

Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.

  • Experience: 2–4 years in financial analysis, data analytics or a related field (internships count). Healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Proficiency in SQL and Excel; familiarity with BI tools like Power BI; exposure to Epic reporting (Cogito/Clarity/Caboodle) or similar EHR platforms; familiarity with EPMs (e.g., Strata) and ERPs (e.g., Infor FSM).
  • Mindset: Demonstrates adaptability, a strong willingness to learn, and proficiency in working across multiple systems.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Certification:

Epic Certifications are a plus

 

Englewood Health job postings provide a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources.

Minimum rate: $31.25 per hour.
