Job Summary:
Responsible for providing comprehensive nutritional care to patients identified with special needs and/or those who meet nutritional risk criteria. Nutritional care includes patient assessment and reassessment, patient and family education, interdisciplinary communication, nutritional plan of care development, and documentation of all interventions in accordance with hospital policy and acceptable practice standards.

Job Essentials:
- Critical Care ICU and Med/Surg experience required.
- Prior experience in Parenteral Nutrition orders a plus.
- Proficiency in computer programs required.
- Must have the ability to effectively demonstrate written and verbal communication
- Must possess the ability to understand and react effectively to the unique nutritional needs of patients of all ages as attained through educational training, continuing education or experience
- Ability to communicate with patients and patients' family members, dietary, medical, and nursing personnel, and outside agencies
- Ability to move about the hospital, interview patients at bedside, and walk half the day
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, or a related field
- Master's degree preferred
License/Certification/Registry:
- Registered Dietitian
- Certified in Nutrition Support (CNSC)
