Description

The Revenue Analytics Manager is a member of the Revenue Recognition team with responsibility for analytics related to revenue, including reimbursement validation, all associated metrics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's). The position is cross-functional and works with the Central Billing Office (CBO), Managed Care, IT Revenue Cycle, and Financial Planning and Analysis (mainly for budgeting purposes) to provide relevant analytics needed.

 

The successful candidate will be a self-starter that enjoys working in a fast paced environment while managing multiple work streams and competing priorities, has strong business acumen, demonstrates excellent communication and listening skills, is process oriented, possesses a high degree of intellectual curiosity, has an established accounting/finance foundation. In addition, this person will have an in-depth knowledge of the healthcare revenue cycle, managed care contracts and an overall understanding of healthcare business models.



Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, required

  • 3 years relevant Healthcare experience, required

  • Public accounting experience, preferred

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel modeling is a MUST: build models from scratch in a disciplined fashion and be able to rollup multiple sheets

  • Expert with other Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Outlook), required

  • Knowledge and demonstrated expertise in analytics, data mining, and financial modelling

  • Strong personal initiative to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects

  • Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Strong work ethic

  • Highly collaborative across the organization

  • Experience interacting with staff/management across multiple departments and levels

  • Experience in building presentations for management



Essential Job Functions

  • Extracts and analyzes data for trending, reporting, and monitoring purposes related to revenue cycle on initiatives of intermediate complexity and scope.

  • Identify negative trends and provide recommendations to Management to enhance and improve collections and maximize revenue recognition.

  • Develops conclusions and communicates findings in a clear and understandable manner.

  • Understand and explain internal and external drivers impacting key performance metrics and trending.

  • Assists in the development, maintenance, and distribution of ad-hoc reports, business intelligence reports, and financial models as needed.

  • Ensures the quality and integrity of data collected for decision making and works with the other areas of the organization to ensure consistency.

  • Ensures information is consistent, accurate, relevant and timely.

  • Work cross-functionally with the CBO and IT to develop systems, tools and databases to enhance revenue recognition and accounts receivable collections.

  • Support the Director of Revenue Recognition during the month-end close process to calculate inpatient and outpatient revenues earned by the Company and its Joint Ventures by providing meaningful analysis of trends, variances and key metrics for executive management and key stakeholders.

  • Support the Director of Revenue recognition in developing revenue budgets and forecasts for the annual budget cycle of the Company and its Joint Ventures and other forecasting needs.
