EECU Credit Union is seeking a dynamic financial executive to take on the role of Vice President of Finance

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this key leadership position will oversee accounting, financial planning, reporting, and analysis functions within the credit union. You will be instrumental in guiding financial initiatives, ensuring precise reporting, and driving comprehensive analysis to support our financial goals. Partnering closely with senior management, you'll contribute significantly to our strategic development and execution plan's.


Key Responsibilities:


Accounting:

  • Lead accurate, efficient accounting operations and internal controls, financial reporting of the credit union, CUSO, and Foundation.
  • Work closely with the CFO to ensure accounting estimates are accurate and well-supported.
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

Reporting:

  • Oversee preparation and distribution of monthly financial reports and statements.
  • Provide insightful financial data analysis to aid decision-making.
  • Implement KPIs and metrics to measure financial performance.
  • Prepare analysis on corporate pricing strategies, peer reviews, and member behavioral & demographic attributes.
  • Oversee the coordination and preparation of regular daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports from all areas of operation from the credit union.
  • Complete all necessary annual tax filings for the credit union, CUSO, & Foundation
  • Complete the annual US Census surveys.

Financial Planning & Analytics:

  • Execute annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the credit union.
  • Drive initiatives for financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Support capital market strategies and conduct financial scenario analysis.
  • Conducts merger and acquisition analytics on prospective banks, branches, or credit unions and prepares presentations for the senior management team regarding such opportunities.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Acts as the liaison between State and Federal Examiners, auditors, and other authorities.
  • Stay updated with regulatory changes and adapt strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
  • CPA required.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, reporting, and analysis in the financial industry, preferably within a credit union or banking environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsible for compliance of all Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg CC, Reg Z, Reg B, FCRA/FACTA, and Service Members Civil Relief. Required to attend initial and ongoing annual Bank Secrecy Act training.
