Hourly Rate: $21.04
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Lead Health and Family Services worker provides comprehensive services to engage families in their own development to strengthen their family systems, protect the health and well-being of their children, and improve their economic status and conditions.
- Serves as a 2nd tier in quality assurance measures for ERSEA, Health History, and Transition process.
- Thinks, communicates and behaves as a cause-driven leader and role model for other staff and families when it comes to desired staff behaviors.
- Works actively with the Early Head Start Child Care Partners, assisting staff with connecting families with community resources which includes one on one support to early childhood teaching staff relating to family partnership agreements, parent participation, and integration of child and family curriculum
- Responsible for all health and developmental related tracking and follow-up.
- Recruits prospective families and assists with enrollment process; completes home visits as needed.
- Ensures an appropriate written transition plan is prepared for all children, six months prior to their third birthday.
- Possesses considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of social work, family-centered planning and human behavior; ability to train and provide presentations to large and small groups.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Human Services, Education or related field. Associates degree or higher in Education will require earning a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, or counseling within 12 months of hire; Child Welfare Certification preferred.
- 2+ years of related experience with children and families in a social services or educational environment required; Child Welfare or Self Sufficiency program experience preferred. Bilingual preferred: English/Spanish or English and other languages present in the local area.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 45 pounds; must be able to work Saturdays and evenings for Parent Engagement and Child Care Partner activities.
- Must be able to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes.
- Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
