Job Details:

General Summary:

This position has responsibility for analyzing and posting the timely and accurate reconciliation of store inventories to the physical counts. Must be able to identify, analyze, and resolve store inventory inaccuracies due to shipping or inventory adjustment errors. Also, responsible for ad hoc reporting related to shrink and vendor inventory discrepancies. This role has a direct financial impact on the on hand accuracy and financial shrink results of all store locations.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for discovering, analyzing, and resolving reconciliation discrepancies prior to posting store financial inventory results to the retail stock ledger. 
  • Produces reports, conducts ad hoc and trend analysis, as well as maintains all electronic files to ensure financial shrink results are accurate in accordance with audit compliance guidelines. 
  • Proactively engages with field and internal departments (e.g. Transportation & Inventory Support), performing in-depth research to ensure accuracy in posted financial shrink results. 
  • Collaborates with team in continuous improvement events to improve and implement efficiencies related to departmental processes. 
  • Executes various financial entries based on analysis. 
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to manage multiple decision processes while working in a fast-paced paperless environment using multiple systems and databases
  • Strong attention to detail with a sense of urgency around deadlines
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • At least an Intermediate level in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to utilize database application

Education &/or Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field and one year experience in retail chain environment required.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience may be substituted.
  • Experience with data warehousing and reporting applications required – 1010 Data knowledge preferred.
