General Summary:

The Corporate HR Representative is responsible for creating university partnerships and college recruitment strategies, managing the employee onboarding and offboarding experience, and maintaining hiring analytics. This role manages the program design, execution, and recruitment efforts for the Dollar General SSC internship program. Key responsibilities include providing HR support, administrative support of Contingent Worker workforce, assisting with special projects, and supporting the Corporate HR Generalist team in ensuring timeliness, completion, and accuracy of certain HR processes. Serves as the HR liaison to answer questions regarding HR policies and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages the SSC Internship program and facilitates improvements. Perform full lifecycle recruiting to include sourcing strategy, candidate selection, communications, and hiring manager correspondence. Designs and hosts all aspects of the summer program to include college recruitment, onboarding, engagement events, networking events, EVP/CEO sessions and capstone week. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all related stakeholders and university partners. Work with appropriate groups to identify and resolve issues. Supports strategic projects, project implementation, and process improvements. 
  • Manages the Contingent Worker (CW) system in ServiceNow to include CW record creation, approvals and extension requests. Provide analysis and metrics related to CW population. 
  • Manages the employee experience through onboarding & transition process for both internal and external candidates. Relays thorough understanding of company policies by conducting new employee orientation and follow-up sessions. Partners with HR Generalists to ensure onboarding plans are prepared and hiring managers have completed necessary hiring steps. 
  • Conducts exit interviews and shares information as appropriate. Provides analysis of exit data to identify key retention opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Experience conducting full life cycle recruiting.
  • Exceptional planning, coordination, project management and implementation skills.
  • Ability to develop relationships and effectively influence with key stakeholders and candidates.
  • Knowledge of human resource principles and practices.
  • Strong written and verbal skills; ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage time, and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear understanding of data, relationships and system manipulation plus a high level proficiency with Microsoft office applications.
Qualifications:

Work Experience &/or Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in areas such as human resources management and industrial psychology.
  • Three plus years' experience in progressively responsible positions; degree is not required with extensive experience.
