As Caregiver, you'll play an essential role in enriching the lives of seniors, creating meaningful connections, and making a difference every single day.
Your Role:
As the Caregiver, your role includes providing hands-on care and physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment.
Position Highlights:
- Status: PART TIME
- Schedule: Saturday & Sunday either 7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm
- Location: 21 Clark Street Brooklyn NY 11201
- Rate of Pay: $18.50 plus up to $1000.00 in Sign On Bonus & Retention Bonus
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for designated group of residents during shift; ensures awareness of whereabouts and conducts frequent checks
- Provide daily personal care support, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, and eating assistance
- Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly
- Help residents maintain independence while promoting dignity, safety, and overall well-being
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and work areas
- Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support to residents
- Engage residents in meaningful life skills activities and enrichment programs
- Notify supervisor and/or health care coordinator if a resident has increased care needs
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Home Health Aide (HHA) certification required
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Prior experience working with seniors in memory care.
- Strong communication skills with residents, team members, and leadership
- Compassionate, resident-focused approach with superior customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
