As Director of Hospitality, you'll play an essential role in creating exceptional dining and hospitality experiences for our residents and their guests, leading a culture of service where residents feel a true sense of belonging and every day feels like a celebration.
Your Role
As the Director of Hospitality, you'll partner with the Executive Chef and Executive Director to lead front-of-house operations, develop and coach team members, enhance resident satisfaction, and continually elevate the dining and hospitality experience throughout the community.
Position Highlights
- Status: Full-Time, Exempt
- Schedule: Traditional leadership workweek with flexibility based on business and operational needs, including Manager on Duty hours and on-call support for emergency situations

- Rate of Pay: Base Plus 10% Target Performance Bonus

What You'll Do
- Lead front-of-house operations and hospitality strategies that create memorable dining experiences for residents and guests.
- Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and develop front-of-house team members while fostering a culture of exceptional service.
- Build strong resident relationships, gather feedback, and use satisfaction and point-of-sale data to identify opportunities and improve the dining experience.
- Partner with the Executive Chef to coordinate front- and back-of-house operations, including the pre-meal experience, service standards, and overall dining execution.
- Manage front-of-house labor budgets, inventory, beverage purchasing, and operational performance.
- Develop beverage programs and seasonal specials and support special events, banquets, theme meals, and other unique resident experiences.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and community teams, including Marketing and Activities, to support resident needs, hospitality initiatives, and customer satisfaction goals.
- Stay current on food, beverage, and hospitality trends and support front- and back-of-house operations as needed to continually elevate the resident experience.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of fine-dining experience and two (2) years of supervisory or management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and daily operations.
- State/Federal Food Handling and Sanitation certification required.
- Strong leadership and hospitality skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and build relationships with team members and residents.
- Genuine interest in working with a senior population and creating exceptional resident experiences.
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet-based applications, with the ability to analyze operational information and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and meet the physical requirements of the position, including regularly lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
