Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing and managing a comprehensive portfolio of nursing programs within our healthcare system. This leadership role involves the oversight and preservation of existing programs while spearheading new initiatives that support the strategic objectives of system nursing. The Program Director will collaborate closely with nursing leadership, interdisciplinary teams, and external partners to ensure the highest standards of patient care, professional development, and nursing excellence. Key responsibilities include program development, implementation, and continuous quality improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing leadership, a deep understanding of healthcare systems, and a passion for driving innovation in nursing practice.

Job Duties

Assist in the recruitment of qualified employees.

Supervise resource team to deliver quality patient care, including employee relations activities, including skill development.

Participate, with designated leadership, in review and revision of policies and procedures, and structure and content of the program.

Represent the program on committees as applicable.

Continuously monitor the effectiveness of the program, may include developing evaluation process, including a subjective evaluation instrument to survey others on the effectiveness of the program.

Ensure compliance with all applicable requirements and policies and procedures implemented.

Maintains program budget.

Certification(s) and License(s)

Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body; Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN-State of Pennsylvania
