Description
The Instructor will teach 15 contact hours per semester as part of the base workload, which will include teaching in RCBC's 3+1 Inclusive Education program. In addition, the Instructor will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and supporting students, participation in outcomes assessment within the program, participation on college committees, and meaningful contributions to the college community. This is a tenure track appointment.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Develop, prepare, and teach all assigned course while ensuring that course outcomes are met. Provide students with feedback and academic support. Meet all divisional and institutional requirements, such as submission of grades and reporting attendance.
Develop, in collaboration with Division Dean and/or Associate Dean, course syllabi, assessments, and rubrics as part of program development and institutional and student outcomes assessment.
Maintain office and advising hours for students to assist with course selection and career development opportunities
Provide input and support within the department and the institution.
Promote the college programs to the community.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Education Required:
Master's degree from an accredited institution in Education and special education (TOSD) and elementary teaching certification
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Certification in one or more of the following areas:
ESL or Bilingual Education
Certified school counselor or advanced degree in counseling or social work
Reading specialist
Experience Required:
3 or more years teaching experience in an inclusive education setting at the elementary level
Teaching experience in college-level courses
Experience in the use of instructional technologies
Skills/Abilities /Knowledge /Other Requirements
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Use of learning-centered teaching methodologies.
Experience in curriculum development.
Evidence of a strong commitment to teach and remain current in the field of Education, including both traditional curricula as well as alternate methods of delivery.
Experience using educational technologies effectively. Experience with Blackboard Ultra is beneficial.
Experience teaching online and in person.
Experience developing and implementing programmatic assessment tools.
Demonstrated commitment to community college mission of providing instruction to students of diverse abilities, interests, and cultural backgrounds.
Active participation in college community.
Availability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends as needed.
Additional Information
INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS:
Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.
