The Health & Wellness Discipline at Delta College is seeking a full-time tenure track faculty member committed to equity, retention, and completion for student success. The instructor will be responsible for effective teaching in the face-to-face, blended, and online classroom. Potential candidates will have the ability to teach online as well as face-to-face and blended/hybrid courses during the evening, at multiple locations (Downtown Centers, Dual Enrollment Partners), and nontraditional times as needed. In addition, we seek candidates whose pedagogy, research, and continuous professional development have prepared them to engage with the college's commitment to belonging, equity, diversity, and inclusion (BEDI).

  • Must have the ability to teach in both a classroom and clinical setting.
  • The ability to work in a variety of settings and promote student growth and success is essential.
  • Ability to relate to a variety of constituents along with solid pedagogy skills that promote learning.
  • Demonstrate experience, skills, and commitment to fostering an environment of belonging, diversity, equity and inclusion in student, faculty and staff.

  • Demonstrate a philosophy of teaching that provides learning opportunities that meet the needs of all students.
  • Establish and promote an engaging and inclusive learning environment to maximize student learning in both the face-to-face and online classroom.

  • Must actively support student retention initiatives that promote program completion.
  • Develop innovative, dynamic, and engaging learning environments that support student learning and success.
  • Collaborate voluntarily and enthusiastically with colleagues in the academic discipline and with other faculty colleagues to develop effective learning experiences for a diverse student body.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of diversity based on the college statement on diversity.
  • Serve the community through outreach activities.
  • Commit to ongoing educational and professional growth.
  • Engage fully in course, discipline, program development, curriculum development and assessment.
  • Attend and actively participate in discipline, division, and college meetings.
  • Capable of using a learning management system to deliver course material.
  • Demonstrate teaching effectiveness which supports student learning and encompasses pedagogies for student success to meet course and/or program requirements.
  • Work in a variety of settings which promote quality learning.
  • Maintain professional development to assure currency within field of practice.
  • Possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and spring/summer.
  • Master's degree.
  • Proficient in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising.
  • 3 years of clinical experience in general diagnostic radiography.
  • 2 years of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in radiography.
  • Flexibility with teaching times of classes
  • Pedagogy is informed by belonging, equity, diversity and inclusion.
  • Bilingual
