A Day in the Life of an RN - Reflux Program Coordinator

The MRHC Program Coordinator-RN oversees the daily operations and vision of the Reflux Program in collaboration with specialists, primary care, and administration, ensuring the program aligns with organizational goals. This role emphasizes patient-centered care, where coordination extends from initial assessments through the entire diagnostic and treatment pathway, emphasizing strong patient advocacy and education adapted to individual needs. Challenges include navigating complex insurance requirements and staying updated on healthcare regulations impacting reflux care. The coordinator actively engages in public speaking and community events to promote program awareness and education, requiring strong communication skills and availability during evenings and weekends. Regular collaboration with the Riverwood Health Care Center reflux team and participation in interdepartmental meetings ensure consistency and quality across service lines.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required
  • American Heart Association BLS certification within 30 days of hire
  • Clinical and statistical data gathering techniques and analysis
  • Current Minnesota RN license
  • Prior experience, knowledge and skill in chart reviews

 

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range listed above is the estimated starting pay range for this role. Actual pay rate offered depends on many factors including each individual employee's experience level, preferred education/certifications, along with market conditions.
