Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby Minnesota and Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin Minnesota, are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN physician. You can expect a busy generalist OB/GYN practice in a physician-led, financially stable organization, committed to both high quality patient care and a high level of patient satisfaction.

Locations: Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby and Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin Minnesota

• Full-time is 4-day work week

• Mix of clinic, operating room and labor and delivery coverage

• Call 1:4.Includes days, evenings, weekends and holidays

• Provides direct patient care for OB/GYN in three settings:
  • Outpatient clinic, surgery/operating room, Labor & Delivery
• Serve as a Collaborative physician for several family medicine physicians who provide OB care and one certified nurse midwife
• Functions as part of a care delivery team through efficient use of resources and skills, both their own and those of other providers and staff
• 24/7 anesthesia support 
• Experienced L&D nursing team 
• Large and modern LDRP rooms (labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum) with jet tubs 
• Nitrous oxide for laboring patients 
• 3 DaVinci robots between 2 hospitals (CRMC Crosby and Riverwood Health in Aitkin)
• Women's Health nurse practitioner support in clinic and operating room as surgical assistants 
• Support from Senior Experienced partners
• Busy surgical practice with a minimum of 1/2 day a week surgical block time 
• Chart in electronic format in accordance with licensure and scope (EPIC is our electronic medical record)
• Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to patient care
• Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in the delivery of patient care, patient outcomes and workflows

• This position requires a Medical Doctorate degree (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).

• Must have current, unrestricted state of Minnesota Medical license

• Must be board certified or board eligible in obstetrics and gynecology

It's known for small-town historic charm and access to outdoor recreation on the Mississippi River and nearby lakes. Aitkin is located approximately 2.5 hours north of Mpls/St. Paul, about 20 miles from the Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport and about 1-hour and 45 minutes from Duluth.

The Brainerd/Cuyuna Lakes Area boasts being both cosmopolitan yet small enough that you can find a place to call home whether on a lake, in the back woods, or in one of our many close by communities.  There are great high school sports, local events, community theater, or enough bike trails to spend hours riding through our beautiful lakes area.
