A Day in the Life of a Pharmacy Technician - Hospital
As a Pharmacy Technician at our hospital, you will prepare and manage medications, including IV admixtures and chemotherapy, ensuring accuracy and safety in dosages tailored for patients from newborns to the elderly. You'll maintain and organize medication inventory, order supplies, and restock pharmacy stations. Collaborating closely with pharmacists, nurses, and physicians, you facilitate seamless communication, addressing queries and transferring critical information to ensure exemplary patient care. Your role includes handling sensitive information with discretion, utilizing strong organizational skills to manage various tasks effectively. Regular participation in continuous quality improvement activities ensures you contribute to and uphold the high standards of pharmacy services provided by our facility.

Qualifications
Education and Experience Required
- Successfully complete the certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) course or possess certification within two years of hire
- Successful completion of the data entry and pharmacy nomenclature standards as administered by Cuyuna Regional Medical Center Human Resources staff
- | High School Diploma
- Registration with the State of MN Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
- Completion of a Certified Pharmacy Technician course
Compensation and Benefits
The pay range is listed above. Actual pay rate offered is determined based on experience in this role. Please be sure to include all applicable experience in your application.
