Staff Pharmacist - Full Time

As a full time, exempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist at UPR Hospital Dr. Federico Trilla, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.
Schedule: This position is scheduled to work full time 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, varying rotating shifts, and Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays as needed.
Starting Pay: $106,000.00 to $108,000.00 annually, based on experience.
About the Facility: The Hospital Federico Trilla is a teaching hospital, meaning there are students, interns, residents, and fellows of different specialties. The Hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission (JC). The Hospital has the capacity for a total of 250 beds, of which 93 are assigned for Internal Medicine and Family Medicine, 50 for Pediatrics, 45 for Surgical Services, 20 for Psychiatry and 42 for Obstetrics & Gynecology. More than 10,000 patients are admitted each year to the Hospital's different services. Patients are attended by a highly skilled staff of board certified physicians, most of which are faculty members of the University of Puerto-Rico School of Medicine. The Emergency Medicine Department receives more than 55,000 medical visits per year and provides 24-hour consultation for dental and psychiatric services. The Emergency Medicine Residency Program of the University of Puerto Rico-School of Medicine is housed in the Hospital and is accredited by the ACGME Emergency Medicine Residency Committee.
The Hospital also provides a wide array of specialized ambulatory health services. These services operate in coordination with the Ambulatory Clinic of the University of Puerto Rico, located in the Reparto Metropolitano Shopping Center, adjacent the Puerto Rico Medical Center in San Juan, where an extensive array of sub-specialty physician care is available to the general population. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.
About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy is open Monday through Friday 6:00am to 9:00pm and weekends and holidays from 7:00am to 4:00pm. The pharmacy utilizes MedHost.
Required Qualifications:
- Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD), PharmD preferred
- Current Puerto Rico license in good standing
- Experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting preferred
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
- Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
- Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
- Effective communications skills; verbal and written
- Must currently reside in Puerto Rico
- Must speak fluent Spanish
Hospital Requirements:
- (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
- (MMR)) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving immunity
- Hep B3 Series (or declination)
- (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
- COVID Vaccine
