Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem
Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital
Indianapolis, Indiana

As a per diem, nonexempt, CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; performing order entry; procuring drugs; billing. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.

Schedule: This position will work a varied schedule approximately 4 to 8 hours per week. There is no set schedule.

About the Facility:  Indiana Orthopaedic Hospital, also known as OrthoIndy Hospital, is a 37-bed acute care hospital that specializes in musculoskeletal therapy located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The hospital is Indiana's first specialty hospital with a focus on orthopedics. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy is open Monday from 6:00am-8:00pm, Tuesday through Thursday from 6:00am-9:00pm and Friday from 6:00am-7:00pm. Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am-12:00pm.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification program or at least one year of training as a Pharmacy Technician or a Foreign Pharmacy candidate. 
  • Pharmacy License or certification applicable to the state of Indiana. 
  • Demonstrated team collaboration skills. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with supervisor and team members. 
  • Strong customer service focus. 
  • Demonstrates appropriate problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge and ability to read and comprehend physician's orders relating to medications and treatments. 
  • Knowledge of use and dispensing of medications. 

Hospital Requirements: (may be required)

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination) 
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th  
  • COVID Vaccine
