Graduate Intern - Per Diem 
Fremont Hospital 
Fremont, CA

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Pharmacy Graduate Intern at Fremont Hospital, you will fill orders with accuracy; maintain the security of pharmacy and controlled substances; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy, assist the Director with committee meetings, routine audits and other special projects as needed, and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy under the license and direction of another Pharmacist until you obtain a Pharmacist license number from the California Board of Pharmacy.

Schedule: This per diem, nonexempt position will work on an as needed basis, including weekends and holidays.

Pay Range:  $36-$40/hour based on experience

About the Facility: Fremont Hospital is a private, modern 148-bed behavioral healthcare facility that provides services to adolescents (ages 12-17) and adults. Services offered include treatment of psychiatric conditions, chemical dependency, and treatment of 'dual diagnosis' (co-existing psychiatric condition and chemical dependency).  A variety of treatment programs are available, including inpatient care, partial hospitalization (day treatment) and an intensive outpatient program. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS Solutions, LLC.

About the Pharmacy: This centralized pharmacy is currently open weekdays from 7:00am-3:30pm and weekends from 7:00am-1:30pm. The pharmacy is supported by HCS and Omnicell. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
  • Current California Pharmacy Intern license in good standing
  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program preferred, not required
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written 

Hospital Requirements (may be required): 

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination)
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
  • COVID Vaccine-Full (required)
