Description
This is a hands-on, working manager role. The manager will lead by example and actively support all areas of the operation, including pipe fabrication, hose assembly, automated valve work, shipping and receiving, and general warehouse functions. This role is responsible for driving daily execution, supporting the team on the floor, and ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate operations across departments.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Lead daily warehouse, receiving, distribution, technical assembly, and shipping operations
Maintain and improve operational processes by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures
Supervise and manage warehouse and assembly staff across multiple functions
Support production directly as needed in pipe fabrication, hose assembly, valve automation, and shipping/receiving
Maintain high customer service levels by managing workflow and scheduling assembly operations to meet customer requirements
Implement effective coaching and training for warehouse and technical assembly staff while ensuring accountability and performance
Work closely with Customer Service personnel to process product returns in a timely manner
Control inventory levels through physical counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation support
Communicate with vendors, representatives, and shipping partners to ensure high-quality service and timely execution
Ensure company-owned vehicles are properly utilized, maintained, and operated safely

Essential Physical Functions / Equipment Used
Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 75 lbs

Must be able to operate, or learn to operate, warehouse equipment including forklifts
Must be able to work off-hours, weekends, and overtime on short notice based on business needs
Must have knowledge of, or the ability to learn, safe rigging, lifting, and movement of heavy or awkward products
Must be able to work in varying operating conditions, including heat, cold, and clean-room environments
Preferred Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
A 2-year or 4-year degree in Warehouse Management, Industrial Distribution, Inventory Control, Planning, or Logistics is strongly preferred
Minimum 5+ years of warehouse experience required
Minimum 2+ years of supervisory or management experience overseeing a multi-functional team of approximately 5-15 employees, including technicians, inventory associates, and shipping/receiving personnel
5+ years of experience with inventory control, cycle counting, and reconciliation processes preferred
3+ years of forklift instruction/certification and safety/compliance experience required
3+ years of shipping and receiving experience preferred; familiarity with UPS and FedEx is highly desired
Prior experience in industrial distribution, technical assembly, or a fabrication-driven warehouse environment is strongly preferred
Work Environment
This position operates in a standard warehouse environment and includes regular exposure to machine shop activity, shipping and receiving operations, inventory storage areas, and technical assembly workspaces.
