STAFF PHARMACIST - PER DIEM
CENTRAL DESERT HOSPITAL
Hours: This position will work on an as needed basis.
As a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services Staff Pharmacist you will provide support for clinical programs and practices within the hospital as well as fill orders with accuracy; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.
About the Facility: Central Desert Behavioral Health Center is a 26-bed inpatient center offering advanced programming and services for the treatment of behavioral health illness for older adults. The center provides professional care for individuals who are experiencing a wide range of emotional, social and behavioral needs affecting the healthy function of their daily lives. The Pharmacy is managed by Comprehensive Pharmacy Services. All pharmacy staff are CPS employees. After hours service is provided by CPS Remote Order Entry Services / TELEpharmacy.
About the Pharmacy: The centralized pharmacy uses MedDispense and Amigo systems. Clinical services offered include drug regimen review; interventions, ADRs; P&T and Med Exec.
- Pharmacy Degree - BS or Pharm D from an accredited school of pharmacy
- State of New Mexico Pharmacist license in good standing
- Experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital pharmacy setting; willing to train New Graduate
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
- Ability to work cooperatively with other members of hospital or retail establishment and pharmacy staff
