DIRECTOR OF REHABILITATION – FULL TIME

Hours: The working hours for this administrative focused Director's role are Monday through Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm.
As a full time, exempt Director of Rehabilitation with PSI Rehab Services, a Comprehensive Pharmacy Services company, at McLaren Oakland Hospital Rehabilitation Department, we have a TREMENDOUS REHAB CAREER OPPORTUNITY for you to lead rehabilitation services within a renowned multi-hospital health system in Michigan. This position provides leadership, management and oversight for a team of 47+ FTE's across service lines such as acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and three outpatient sites located off campus. You will lead this Rehabilitation Services Department with the assistance of one of the fastest growing and most respected rehab leadership companies in the industry supporting you in your role and career. Responsibilities include leading the rehab team, managing KPI's with our proprietary financial and management software, completing comprehensive analyses of opportunities, managing marketing and business growth plans for all service lines, and provide clinical skills education to your team. Your direct reports include a full-time outpatient manager, acute and inpatient rehab therapists, a marketing liaison, a case manager, PPS co-coordinator, and nurse manager. Goals for this position include successful completion of TJC accreditation, marketing and growth of outpatient and inpatient rehab programs, and to create and manage fiscal year budget and growth projections.
About the Facility: McLaren Oakland, located in Pontiac, Michigan, is a 328-bed acute care hospital. McLaren Oakland's care includes inpatient rehabilitation, behavioral care, advanced oncology, long-term acute care, a skilled nursing facility and 3 off-site outpatient rehabilitation locations (Pontiac, Clarkston, and Oxford). McLaren is affiliated with MSU's Department of Osteopathic Medicine. Management of the Rehabilitation Department is outsourced to PSI Rehabilitation Services, Inc. This position is an employee of PSI Rehabilitation Services.
Department Hours of Operation:
- Acute Care and Inpatient Rehabilitation: Monday – Friday and Holidays from 8:00am-5:00pm; Saturdays from 8:00am – 3:00pm; and Sundays are on-call.
- Outpatient Rehabilitation: Monday – Friday from 7:00am – 6:00pm.
- Graduate of an accredited College or School of Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree
- Master's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred
- Must be licensed in good standing as a physical, occupational or speech therapist in Michigan
- 5+ years of recent Director of Rehabilitation experience is required, preferably in an inpatient hospital setting
- Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated teaching, relevant professional publications and involvement with professional organizations
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, respond to client concerns, and work cooperatively with other staff

Hospital Requirements: TB Test, Flu Shot (between October-April), MMR Titer, CPR, background check, and active therapy license in the State of Michigan.
