HR Benefits Director, Senior Vice President
The Benefits Director position is located at the Comerica Bank Tower at 1717 Main Street, Dallas, Texas and reports to the SVP, Director of Total Rewards. This position has 4 direct reports.

Position Responsibilities

  • Build out and maintain a comprehensive benefits strategy.
  • Design, develop, implement, communicate, administrate, and monitor all benefit programs.
  • Act as an expert consultant to management in support of benefits plan designs, 401(K) plan design and administration of the pension plan.
  • Monitor trends, best practices and external competitiveness and make recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of benefit programs and analyze benefit plans to determine cost/benefit.
  • Provide analysis and information on benefit programs and strategies to executive management and the benefit committee.
  • Ensure all benefit programs are compliant with applicable laws and regulations including ERISA and Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Complete all regulatory filing and notice requirements.
  • Maintain the administration of long and short term disability programs including workers compensation.
  • Assess wellness programs and wellness incentives (that comply with ERISA, Internal Revenue Code and Public Health Service Act (PHSA).
  • Routinely audit our retirement and benefit programs to ensure they are being administered appropriately.
  • Analyze and update severance and retirement policies and ensure consistent application across the corporation.
  • Research new industry trends and benefit opportunities, e.g. legislation,.
  • Manage multiple strategic vendor relationships in the design and administration of benefits programs.
