What will you do?

  • Leads and supervises a diverse platoon of Transit Peace Officers in on-street operational settings
  • Provides direct supervision, ongoing direction, and performance evaluations, including attendance management, for staff
  • Oversees the deployment of officers, coordinating and monitoring their activities to ensure high-performing teams and operational readiness
  • Offers leadership, coaching, mentoring, and training to promote staff growth and development, maintaining accountability for key outcomes
  • Identifies and implements efficiencies and improvements in staff and unit processes
  • Manages the day-to-day budget and human resource needs of the team
  • Provides guidance and direction in hiring and retention processes, assessing roles, responsibilities, and workflows
  • Manages labor relations issues, pay administration, and staff performance matters, including disciplinary actions
  • Evaluates public complaints and determines disciplinary versus non-disciplinary actions, forwarding information to the Superintendent
  • Oversees daily operational activities at a tactical level, including on-road supervision and incident management
  • Manages equipment and fleet requirements for Peace Officer duties
  • Produces and disseminates administrative correspondence, including policy change recommendations and operational plans
