The City of Edmonton is seeking a highly motivated Fleet Information Systems Analyst to play a pivotal role in optimizing our Fleet and Facility Information Systems. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of critical applications and supporting users in maximizing the potential of our fleet management technology.
As the Fleet Information Systems Analyst, you will be the go-to expert for all aspects of our Fleet Info System, including application administration, end-user support, system upgrades, and data management. You will collaborate closely with vendors to ensure system availability and work with users to implement feature enhancements. A key responsibility will involve providing support and consultation to users on Fleet Info System-related business processes and liaising with City IT for technical assistance. You'll also play a critical role in maintaining data integrity, developing strategies to improve efficiency, and leading process improvement projects. What will you do?
- Be responsible for the Fleet Info System, including application administration, application and user support, system upgrade, testing, QA, data import/export, documentation, etc.
- Support all interface and data exchange within Fleet Info Systems, as well as with other external city applications
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of fleet master data input and maintenance processes
- Providing consultation to users on feature enhancement and working with vendors on quotation, testing and implementation
- Develop and recommend business process improvements
- Ensures that data-driven processes have appropriate accountability and visibility
- Translate business processes into systems driven processes
- Respond to various inquiries from Managers, Directors, Supervisors on items pertaining to the Fleet Info Systems
- Responsible for reporting and monitoring fleet master data on a regular basis
- Provide analysis and solutions to eliminate recurring data issues, including documenting issues and recommending changes
