The Information Technology Division of the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) requires one (1) Applications Analyst who is a self-motivated, innovative, and organized individual with exceptional technical, application and interpersonal skills to support the Video and Digital Evidence Systems. Responsibilities will include:
- Support of the mission-critical Video and Digital Evidence Systems. This includes participating in paid 24x7x365 on-call support rotationally.
- Troubleshooting issues with the Video and Digital Evidence Systems and related interfaces.
- Performing proactive and preventative enterprise class video application administration, deployment, support, maintenance, and training. To include the establishment of on premise, cloud based, and business to business integrations.
- Communicating with other departments, vendors, contractors, and external businesses towards implementation and solutioning challenging video integrations.
- Addressing Action Items assigned by the Team Lead, Business Analysts and Project Managers in the successful execution of assigned operational video objectives.
- Planning, scheduling, estimating assigned work and addressing tasks required to support video applications and other Operational Video System integrations.
- Video Application research, design, deployment, administration, configuration, implementation, support, and maintenance for systems and application servers.
- Preparing written recommendations, developing system documentation and training materials.
- Analyzing business requirements and ensuring assigned video project scope action items are addressed to the satisfaction of the project.
- Working collaboratively with all members of the IT Branch to address video application issues in a timely manner.
- Working collaboratively with other EPS units to find solutions for video related business problems through process or by use of software.
- Communicating, monitoring, and reporting, project and operational execution of network and security requirements
- Coordinating operational support and maintenance processes, procedures through collaborations with departments, vendors and/or external businesses.
- Coordinating approved vendors towards the deployment, development, support, and maintenance of video solutions
- Addressing other assigned tasks as required.
