Description

If you are hired to this position, you will be employed by Magnit Global. You will not be employed by City National Bank.

The Opportunity

Human Resources is seeking a consultant to join an enterprise-wide project team to help execute regulatory-required staffing and skills assessments. The staffing assessments will be implemented across the bank to identify labor demand and labor supply gaps and skill gaps, determine what portion of gaps require mitigation, and develop a resourcing/hiring plan. Primary responsibilities include process and meeting facilitation, leadership or support of core sub-processes (e.g., gathering input to demand estimates, governance intake for assessments, workshop scheduling and coordination, findings narratives), materials development (e.g. job aids, training design, communications).

The consultant will work with Executive and Senior leaders to facilitate, guide, advise, and challenge the staffing and skills assessment decisions and plans. Consultants will be provided with a prescribed process and equipped with communication templates, as well as support from a data analyst and project coordinator for scheduling. These assessments and the processes we are using will evolve into BAU practices for workforce planning and skill-based talent management. The consultant will work with Execution and Senior leaders 1:1, in small groups, and via formal facilitated sessions, all conducted remotely using Microsoft Teams. The Consultant will need to be adept at using a consultative, data-driven approach and helping leaders focus on the relevant questions at hand to respond to the regulators. The new centralized process requires building ownership by management for the decisions, mitigation plans, and follow through on those plans.

The timeframes for completing the work are constrained and so the consultant will need to encourage timely execution and effectively escalate delays to the project manager and leader for support. There will be tools for tracking and reporting progress that the consultant will use. The consultant will work with management teams to ensure data is provided on time, is of sufficient accuracy, and help prepare decision-makers for workshops to review findings, identify gaps, and commit to action plans.

The consultant will also oversee periodic updates on progress against committed action plans. Additionally, consultants may be asked to advise management teams and other stakeholders on the appropriate application of the centralized methodology to new regulatory questions and issues.

While the methodology, process, and many tools have been created, the consultant may be required to help adapt the materials as part of continuous improvement efforts or design and/or develop new materials such as job aids, training materials, process maps.

The consultant needs to be capable of managing responsibilities with minimal oversight once onboarded and trained.

Success will be found through effective and efficient leadership and in building trusted, constructive relationships with managers participating in the assessments and key partners across the entire organization.
