The Opportunity

Under general supervision, the Project Specialist uses basic knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to participate in projects related to wealth management business functions. This role involves performing entry to intermediate level project management analysis and/or project administration tasks for projects in an assigned functional area. The individual exercises moderate latitude and judgment to ensure policies, processes, controls, and procedures are relevant, accurate, and operable. Duties and tasks are frequently non-routine.

The Responsibilities

  • Represents the department on projects.
  • Assists with research, documentation, and testing for projects.
  • Aids in process improvement efforts.
  • Assists with requirements gathering for projects.
  • Helps in building project plans.
  • Creates and maintains internal project management tools.
  • Maintains documentation and communications.
  • Receives training in project management methodology.
  • Provides administrative support to assigned project management teams.
  • Assists in understanding business impacts associated with initiatives.
  • Contributes to the creation of Business Case documents to communicate and prioritize initiatives.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The Qualifications

  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of wealth management.
  • Understanding of basic concepts, practices, and principles of project management methodology, including project management, analysis, administration, and documentation.
  • Skill in creating and maintaining project documentation and communications.
  • Ability to coordinate projects, communicate changes and progress, and complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong communication skills, including clear and informative communication, editing for spelling and grammar, and presenting numerical data effectively.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness while applying feedback to improve performance.
  • Ability to complete tasks on time or notify the appropriate person with an alternate plan.
  • Proficiency in collecting, researching, and analyzing data.
  • Problem-solving skills, including identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner and working well in group problem-solving situations.
  • Commitment to continuously building knowledge and skills in project management and/or administration.
  • Responsiveness to customer needs and requests for service and assistance, meeting commitments.
  • Ability to read and interpret written information.
  • Capability to support and explain the reasoning for decisions and include appropriate people in the decision-making process.
  • Adaptability to frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Associate degree in a related field of work and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience.

This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position: $53.00/hour - $71.00/hour
