MANAGER NATIONAL TRUST ADMINISTRATION
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? This position will be responsible for managing and directing trust administration activities within all of the trust offices under the national charter (e.g. conservatorships, testamentary/intervivos trust trusts, guardianships and agencies) and the implementation of trust investment policies to promote the growth and profitability consistent with the division's objectives. Ensures that the administration of trusts is in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and the stipulations of the Trust Document or Court Order under which authority is conferred. Interfaces with clients, administrators, co-trustees, beneficiaries, attorneys and others regarding accounts as appropriate. Leads a team of Regional Managers who implement administrative activities within a region.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Manage Regional Managers and staff.
  • Assign goals and responsibilities to Regional Managers to meet the divisional strategy as set by the Head of Trust and Estates.
  • Identify and maintain appropriate workloads for trust account administrators across CNB footprint.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, makes hiring and termination decisions, etc.
  • Assist Regional Managers with the largest and most complex trust accounts. Confer with clients, administrators, co-trustees, beneficiaries and attorneys regarding the establishment, administration and operation of a trust as appropriate.
  • Ensure that all tax liabilities and obligations of accounts are met within the national footprint.
  • Analyze new trust opportunities to determine duties and responsibilities of the company.
  • Establish, maintain and revise appropriate service delivery for trust services.
  • Direct Regional Managers and staff to gather/submit pertinent facts to the Trust Administration Committee regarding situations requiring the use of fiduciary discretion.
  • Direct and provides guidance to Regional Managers of reviews and proposals for consideration and direction to various committees as part of on-going administration.
  • Develop and retains personal trust business by maintaining professional and community contacts.
  • Assure that trust policies, programs and procedures are followed by Trust Administration.
  • Stay abreast on new developments pertaining to trust regulation, market strategies and competitive positioning.
  • Interface with Compliance, Risk and Audit to address, identify and resolve issues.
  • Initial POC for bank channel managers (CNS, CNR, entertainment, etc..) regarding mutual client requests requiring exceptions
  • Change champion for administrative matters regarding process.
  • Interface with Bank colleagues, as well as, bank relationship managers, team leaders and business development officers on trust sales related issue.
  • Responsible and accountable for appropriate quality controls related to the services the Trust colleague delivers.
  • Responsible for risk and compliance test results as well as monitoring exceptions regarding administration.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications*
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum ten years of experience in trust administration with strong working knowledge of all types of trusts, not limited to but including all types of family trusts, charitable trusts and special needs trusts required
  • Trust Certification (CTFA) is required
Additional Qualifications
  • Must possess comprehensive knowledge of personal trust laws and regulations, state tax laws, income taxation with respect to trust investment management principles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Must possess demonstrated management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills sufficient to interact with all levels of Bank Personnel and clients.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $175,745 - $326,377 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
