Join Circle K as a Senior Backend Developer and Data Engineering Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to improve collaboration with Circle K Fuel Partners and Vendors through data efficiency and reliability by focusing on building and optimizing ETL workflows, integration solutions and DevOps.
You will join an international team of domain experts that values business focus, stability, innovation, and collaboration. Your extensive experience in backend development, data engineering, DevOps practices, and API-building will help the team in driving the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Innovate, design, and implement SQL and Python for ETL processes using best practices
- Develop and maintain APIs to ensure efficient data exchange and backend services.
- Develop backend practices with a focus on Python programming and other batch languages.
- Oversee cloud-based services and infrastructure with hands-on experience in AWS or Azure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Ensure the integrity, reliability, and scalability of the company's data and backend systems.
- Develop solutions in both batch and real-time modes, using the best technologies for data processing and streaming.
We need an experienced candidate with:- 6+ years of backend development, data engineering, and DevOps experience.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, ETL processes, and data engineering best practices.
- Proficiency in Python, with API development and backend services experience.
- Familiarity with cloud services, particularly AWS or Azure.
- Expertise in developing real-time and batch-mode solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a global team environment.
- Spoken and written English skills equivalent to CEFR level B2.
