Description

Reporting to the Lead Recruiter, as a key member of the Internal Fleet Team, the Recruiter will make cold calls, follow up on existing leads and utilize search engines to locate potential drivers and inform them of the exceptional benefits and competitive driver wages we have to offer our employees. You will also pre-screen these applicants to ensure they meet DOT and company standards. The ideal recruiter is comfortable using social media platforms in their recruiting efforts. A driver recruiter will work side by side with HR, Operations, and other support teams to continually evaluate systems, processes, branding, and other touch points that directly affect driver recruiting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Locate potential drivers who meet DOT and company standards.
  • Pre-screen potential applicants by terminal
  • Conduct phone and face-to-face interviews with prospective drivers if possible.
  • Inform applicants about our operations and the benefits we offer.
  • Schedule interviews with potential candidates in coordination with the local operations teams
  • Work with Operations and HR to move candidates through the background process.
  • Schedule driver orientations and onboarding
  • Utilize social media platforms and other search engines to generate leads and build a pipeline of drivers.
  • Develop and oversee recruiting or referral programs.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Able to travel within all markets within the U.S.
  • It is important to have transportation/ supply chain industry experience so you can properly explain how the position works to drivers and provide an overview of the internal fleet.
  • A proven record of successful recruiting and retention with creative approaches to recruiting drivers.
  • Understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the Fuel Driver position
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources preferred.
  • Create tracking and reporting on all activities related to hiring and staffing.
  • Trucking or transportation experience a plus
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong computer skills

  • Ability to use his/her hands in order to handle or grasp items of varying weight. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with both hands and arms.
