ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

The position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential job duties, responsibilities and requirements:

  • Organize and lead internal and external cross-functional team members to meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Provide critical thinking, challenging management and project teams on their assumptions and improvement processes.
  • Contribute to defining the structure and objectives of the project, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Ensure risk management to minimize project risks and ensure resource availability.
  • Manage the expectations of the management team and project team.
  • Collect data support reporting on progress and reports.
  • Develop business strategies and tactics to implement changes to existing or new processes.
  • Develop metrics for process measurements, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyzes for proposed changes to help management make strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Communicate status issues, risks and changes to all stakeholders, including management and project teams.
  • Establish project budget, track expenses and report variances.
  • Make presentations at all levels of the organization.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven professional experience in project management (7+ years or more).
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a related field.
  • A certification in project management methodology is an asset.
  • Good understanding of formal project management methodologies.
  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously.
  • Can introduce and foster a culture of change.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Able to build understanding and trust and develop a strong network at all levels of the organization.
  • Can identify the needs and expectations of others and provide mutually acceptable solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills. Ability to effectively manage various projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Process oriented. Can easily recognize areas for improvement and develop implementation strategies to improve efficiency.
  • Ability to manage and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to develop a clear and detailed plan.
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in an environment where the pace is fast and deadlines are met.
  • Availability to occasionally travel to meet stakeholders.
