As a Mobile Device Management Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Apple, Windows, Google devices within a K12 educational environment. They will leverage their expertise in MDM administration to ensure efficient device deployment, configuration, and ongoing management. The role requires a strong understanding of K12 requirements, excellent technical skills, and the ability to provide effective support to educators and administrators.

How You Will Impact Education

  • Administer and maintain devices in a K12 educational setting, ensuring optimal performance, security, and usability.
  • Oversee the deployment, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Windows, Apple iOS and MacOS, and Chrome MDM platforms across the K12 educational environment, ensuring that all devices are properly managed and aligned with educational goals.
  • Utilize MDM solutions, to deploy, configure, and manage devices, tailoring them to meet the unique needs of education.
  • Develop and implement MDM strategies, policies, and procedures to streamline device provisioning, enrollment, management, and software distribution.
  • Collaborate with IT staff, educators, and administrators to understand their requirements and provide technical support and guidance related to devices and MDM.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to devices, MDM profiles, and software deployments, ensuring minimal disruption to educational activities.
  • Stay informed about the latest technologies, MDM best practices, and educational technology trends, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the educational experience.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of devices and MDM configurations to ensure compliance with security standards, data protection regulations, and licensing requirements.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to end-users, including teachers, staff, and students, to promote effective and efficient usage of devices and associated applications.
  • Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and support to troubleshoot complex technical issues and coordinate repairs or replacements when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including device inventories, MDM configurations, support tickets, and knowledge base articles, to facilitate knowledge sharing and reference.
  • Perform other duties as delegated by supervisor.
  • Follow federal and state laws, as well as company policies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient in Apple operating systems, software, and hardware, including macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and associated applications. Preferably experience with Mosyle or JAMF MDM platform.
  • Proficient in Windows operating system, software, and hardware, including Windows 10, 11, and associated applications. Preferably experience with INTUNE platform.
  • Proficient in Windows operating system, software, and hardware, including Chrome OS associated applications. Preferably experience with Google Admin platform.
  • Strong understanding of Mobile Device Management (MDM) concepts, principles, and best practices.
  • Experience with MDM administration, including device enrollment, configuration, and policy management.
  • Knowledge of K12 educational technology requirements, including student privacy regulations and content filtering.
  • Solid knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and security principles.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
  • Familiarity with device imaging and deployment methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders and provide clear technical guidance and support.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with the latest hardware technologies, MDM advancements, and educational technology trends.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Hold a certification in Apple technologies, such as Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT), or equivalent.
  • Relevant certifications include Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate, or similar.
  • Familiarity with educational technology initiatives, including one-to-one device programs, digital classrooms, and remote learning environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
