As an Academic Support Specialist, you will develop lesson plans consistent with established guidelines. Establish effective rapport with students, staff members, and parents. Motivate students to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge to provide an effective educational foundation, in accordance with each student's ability.

How You Will Impact Education

  • Develop and facilitate in-person and mobile training for school leadership, curriculum teams and state team members.
  • Conduct school support visits alongside CSs, fostering a coaching and mentoring relationship.
  • Provides feedback to CS team members regarding development and facilitation of professional development, Quest visits, MSAs, and more.
  • Fosters collaborative and supporting environments that foster relationships with leadership teams, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Facilitates the reviews and adoptions for instructional resources, programs, software, and materials.
  • Conducts research and development of CSUSA FL curriculum maps and assessments and manages annual updates.
  • Provides guidance and shares knowledge of the state standards, courses offered within the state, and all state assessments.
  • Provides training and information regarding data sources, the disaggregation and aggregation of data, and how to utilize the data appropriately to drive targeted instruction.
  • Manages the development and updates for formal academic plans, such as Reading Plans, Student Progression Plans, etc.
  • Contributes to charter applications, renewals, and new school readiness planning.
  • Provide support to CSUSA FL special projects and initiatives as requested.

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in Educational Leadership or Curriculum & Instruction preferred, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 2-5 years related experience and/or training; Commitment to company mission, vision, and values.
  • MAC proficient: Microsoft Office (O365, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), other relevant platforms/software programs, educational technology, and mobile communication device.
  • Such alternatives to the above requirements as CSUSA may find appropriate and acceptable.
  • Ability to travel within Florida throughout the year (12-month position).
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
