Summary
The Senior Data Analyst serves as a trusted analytical advisor to senior leadership, using advanced analytics, dashboards, and business insight to influence strategic and operational decision-making across casino operations. This role identifies opportunities to grow revenue, improve efficiency, and enhance guest and employee experience. The Senior Data Analyst leads complex analytical initiatives, establishes reporting standards, and contributes to a culture of data-driven decision-making.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Act as a trusted business advisor to operational and executive leaders, ensuring data insights directly inform decisions.
Lead the design, development, and delivery of advanced dashboards and real-time KPI reporting using Tableau or similar tools.
Use data to explain performance, highlight opportunities, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations with measurable business impact.
Apply advanced data curiosity to proactively identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities across gaming, hospitality, food & beverage, and resort operations.
Partner with operational leaders to identify and support initiatives that increase revenue, improve efficiency, and enhance guest and employee experience.
Present insights and recommendations with clarity, confidence, and professionalism to senior leadership.
Supplement quantitative analysis with stakeholder feedback to provide a holistic view of performance.
Ensure consistency in metrics, definitions, and reporting standards across the property.
Educate stakeholders on analytics capabilities to enable more effective decision-making.
Partner with IT to improve data access, storage, and reporting processes.
Establish best practices for dashboard design, analytical rigor, and data governance.
Review, guide, and elevate the work of other analysts.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree is required; master's degree preferred or equivalent experience. Must have at least 5 years of job related experience in advanced analytics, business intelligence, or operational analysis. Proven ability to influence decision-making through data-driven insight. Experience in casino operations or other highly regulated, data-intensive environments strongly preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. Ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical audiences in a clear, persuasive manner.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Proven track record of influencing operational outcomes through data-driven recommendations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have expert-level proficiency in Tableau or comparable BI tools. Advanced SQL skills and strong analytical modeling experience. Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
